Abu Dhabi: The third edition of SIBEC, a premier event focused on fire, life safety, and ICT solutions, concluded successfully in Abu Dhabi. Sponsored by SIBCA, a leading provider in these sectors, the event ran from November 13 to 15, 2024. This year, the event surpassed expectations, drawing a record number of participants and partners. Under the theme "Innovation That Keeps You Safe," the event highlighted the crucial role of the Internet of Things (IoT) in creating a safer future.

Diverse Industry Focus

The two-day event brought together professionals from around the globe to discuss and showcase the latest advancements across a range of sectors. These included building management systems (BMS), extra-low voltage (ELV) systems, audiovisual (AV) technologies, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, and information and communication technologies (ICT). Experts shared insights into current trends and the future of these critical technologies in enhancing fire and life safety.

Launch of the Trainovation Fire and Safety Training Academy

A key announcement at SIBEC was the unveiling of the Trainovation Fire and Safety Training Academy in Abu Dhabi. This new facility is now an approved training centre under the NFPA Network. The academy is designed to provide essential training to fire and safety professionals, equipping them with the knowledge to safeguard lives and property. Offering courses led by certified instructors, the academy will focus on key topics such as fire protection, building safety, electrical hazards, and industrial safety, ensuring that practitioners remain well-versed in the latest NFPA codes and standards.
